Default trans. vibration at 80mph

Finished my AOD-T5 swap, everything runs good, but when I get up to 80mph I get a decent vibration and humming comming from my trans I can feel it threw the shifter also, I used a brandnew flywheel when I put the T5 in...... I can only think of the flywheel messing up, it never did this before in my auto....do i need to pull the flywheel?

Wrong flywheel? Check the part # to make sure it's the right one. I would think it is the right one, otherwise it would vibrate at all speeds.
I'd look at the driveshaft. Remove it. then run the engine in gear up to speed and see what happens.

removed the driveshaft, checked the trans mount (looked good), and when I ran it threw the gears I got the same symptoms just at a higher speed.

P.S. this is the first time I've installed a clutch, but the weird thing is I only get the vibration at high speeds not lower speeds....

Was the tranny used, new or rebuilt? I'm asking because I had a similar vibration with a used tranny I have and it was the tailshaft bushing that was worn out. It gives the driveshaft play where it enters the tranny.

Definately the driveshaft. I have a 94 and did the same swap. The AOD has i believe an all steel driveshaft with counter weights on it which throws everything off when switching to the 5-speed. You need to get an aluminum driveshaft. I'd go with the ford racing one. Thats what I threw on mine and haven't had any problems since!
