Default Some suspension Q's

My next step for the car is going to be suspension. So im starting to research things. I realy like the eibach pro kit, comes with springs and shocks for a decent price. but im wondering if its worth it to upgrade to the system that comes with anti roll bars? Im building a street car, not a 6k launching drag car. Also, are u/l control arms worth it? same with subframes, i know subframes are popular with foxes but what about sn95s? thanks guys

I'm assumoing that it's the car in your sig and that it's a 94. Have you changed any of the bushings in the suspenstion yet? If not than I would go for the whole kit and knock it all out at once.

subframes would be a + in general.

sounds like you're wanting to hit the corners hard, you'll want stiff and responsiveness out of your car. so panhard bar, sub frames, stiffer spring rates, adj shocks n struts and replace worn out or old bushings.

I'm installing a Maximum Motorsports Road and Track box this weekend. It's pretty complete. It has everything Fivepointohh is speaking of. It's a tad pricey, but you know it all works together. I did a suspension a few years ago on a GM, but I did a "piece together" thing and I spend nearly the same amount and I don't think I completely achieved my goal. My .02

I highly suggest H&R springs, imo the best all around. You can pair them with any good set of shocks, I run Tokico Illuminas and the ride is awesome.

Subframes are something you're gonna want to do, any of the weld on ones are going to be a lot better than nothing.

As far as rear control arms go, Maximum Motorsport lowers and stock uppers. If you haven't already priced stuff out you'll notice MM stuff is expensive, but once you receive the product you'll understand why it's worth it.

Also caster/camber plates would be a good move also, the list goes on and on but that's a pretty solid start.

I had the Maximum Motorsports Road and Track kit installed on my '89 a few months ago. It completely changed how the car handled. As everyone mentioned it's pretty expensive ($2,200) but it handles so much better, the parts are of the highest quality, excellent fitment, and it's a strong foundation for my 408 that's going in next year.

Maximum Motorsports kits are expensive becuase they re-engineer the suspension geometry all together and they make each peice themselves (with the expception of springs and such) and they test everything they build on real road cars. The kits are amazing and well worth it. Personally i'm going with the Max Grip Box ($4600) just cuase haha. i want it to be like a big noisy heavy go cart.

Stella - I think you are getting some good, sound, experienced advice. Now, I think you are gonna have to follow your heart....forget the wallet!

Max Grip Box<<<<<Nice! I'm done installing my suspension kit as of this evening. I'm doing the brakes with the MM brake upgrade kit tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to the first drive.....after the alignment.
