Default Arched Battery need help

I have a 91 lx. A wrench fell between the positive and negative terminals on the battery and it arched. When I turned the ignition nothing happened. The lights still went on, radio, everything else. I bypassed the solenoid with a wrench and it starts. So I replaced the solenoid, but still have the same problem.

My question is if I'm able to start it by bypassing, why didn't a new solenoid fix it and what could i try next?

check the fuses first since they're gonna be the easiest. also you could have fried a fusable link
do you have a kill switch anywhere in the car? my 83 had one someone installed on the ign wire, the one that sends the signal to the solenoid to move

I checked the fuses they're all ok. Theres no kill switch. As far as a fusible link you mean one that would be on the positive battery cable or is there one somewhere on he ignition wiring??

there are like 5 fuseable links connected to the solonoid, they look like wires and are about 6 inches long. pierce the wire pass the link with a volt meter and run power through it whille you hold the other cord on the end of the wire where it connects to the solenoid. my volt meter makes a beep noise if there is no break in the line
