Default Carb. Ignition Gurus help me out!

Hello Gent's, I'm seeking some advice for my igntion setup on my 1989 LX.
First, I'll tell you a little about my car. Second, I will describe what I'm trying to accomplish & with what parts that (I think I need).
Thanks in advance for the help.

Alright, I'm currently running a carburetor fed 351W In my 89LX. The Block is from an 84 Ford Truck. I run an MSD-Pro Billet Distributor, MSD Blast Coil 3 & a MSD 6AL Ignition box w/ 6K chip. This car sees "Weekend Miles" w/ a few trips to the track. This year I fully intend on hooking up my Nitrous Kit which is a Edelbrock Performer Kit, I will be using the 100HP Jets. I'm WELL aware that you have to retard your timing when running the nitrous. But I don't want to have to use a timing light every time I'm going to make an N/A pass. So I've been looking @ some of the Timing Retard Boxes from MSD/ Mallory... Etc.
But it seems that I need to run some other type of igntion box or 3 Step Retard system to even use the Retard Switch.

I could be totally wrong, I'm kind of at a loss here.
I hope my text above is a good enough description of what I'm running & what I plan to do.

Please feel free to comment w/ your setup or any ideas / part numbers for the products you think I should use.
Thanks!

i would buy the msd digital 6 plus ignition box its a all in one box and perfect for nitrious,it has a timing reatard built into the box so that you dont have to run 2 different boxes and you can also adjust you rev limiter in increments of 100 with the turn of a rotary switch on the side of the box insted of carrying around a bunch of rpm chips here is the link check it out

I used the MSD adjustable timing control box on my Chevelle. I wasn't running nitrous but I would jack up the timing if I decided to run a little race fuel. It's accurate and hooks up easy to the MSD box. Just a turn of the **** and your in there.
