Im currently working on my 87 gt project and Im considering getting my engine rebuilt. It has 146xxx miles and it runs pretty good. The engine is DIRTY as all get out and needs some new gaskets to seal up some leaks. Anyway would an engine rebuild be worth my time for a major overhall project?
if it runs good I'd hate to mess with it, but if you want more power then it's a mute point, and next question would be what is your budget/ power goal for it??
What gaskets and seals are leaking? Pony using any oil? ....Dirty engine can be cleaned, otherwise, like stated ^^^, if it still runs good, I wouldn't touch it!
A few cans of gunk engine degreaser and prob a set of valve cover gaskets and you prob be OK. Keep driving it while you gather parts to build a new engine. Then do a weekend swap with a stack of pizza and a few cases of beer. The combo of beer, pizza, beer, tools and beer will attract all your friends over.
She should defently have a patent on that name, because it is completely man bait lol. Beer, pizza, cars, only need one more thing and that's ***** lol.
