Yes. There are better chioces in the holley line but it will work. It's just a lightly updated version of the Holley 3310 750CFM Vac Sec carb but equipted with a electric choke. It's we bit big for your car but I've seen the carbs run on everything from 289's to 460's. It's a decent carb but not spectacular. I'd rather see the smaller Street Avenger on your car but I know it comes at nearly double the cost. I ran a few of the 3310's on 289's back in the 60's. They ran well without issue. As time goes by you can add a secondary metering block to it if you like. It's a basic carb that still delivers after 45 years of production. The first 3310's were elecric choke and came as stardard equiptment on 1965 Chevelles with the 396. It hasn't changed much since then. The 3310 was inducted into the Speed Parts Hall Of Fame as one of the 10 best speed parts of all time. Over 2.5 million of these carbs have been sold.
It's very user friendly and just a great basic performance carb. I'd say go for it without worry. A 600 would be a better choice but the 750 gives you some room to grow and it's a lot differant than throwing on a 750 Double Pumper. You'll be fine

Too big for a stock 5.0L. I agree, a 600cfm would be better
I used this one on a 351W and it worked well

If Cash Flow is the problem check out this carb. It is built by Holley and really a good carb. It is Holley 4010 series that was discontinued in the late 80's or early 90's due to poor sales and not poor performance. Chevy guys didn't like them because thy look too much like the older Motorcraft carbs that Ford used in the 60's. People just liked the traditional Holley so these went by the wayside. It's a great carb and a super price and are not as leak prone as the traditional Holley. I think you will find it to be a better overall carb than the 3310 on your car. Not only that but you can't beat the price and comes with the fuel line.
