cam swap = brake issues!!!

get a vac gauge and see what you find!

a can of starting fluid comes in handy too.see if the engine idles higher

That is a possibility. Were your old bolts to the stock Manifold or to your newer style intake manifold(if you have one). Also, did you insert a gasket in between the upper and lower intake? One of your bolts may not be fully seate right as well.

Check the Vac going to the booster. You need at least 12 inches of Vac for the booster to work. If the booster had a light internal leak already the cam could be bleeding off enough vac to keep the brakes from working correctly. The very first thing to do is check the Vac going to the booster. With that cam you should have plenty of Vac.

so if i shortened the vacuum line from the booster that could cause the brakes to not work properly

Won't make a differance. You may have damaged the check valve at the booster as well. Just check the Vac going to the booster.

it will do nothing unless you have a hole or crack in the hose

you are asking asking valid questions,but your car is outside,(unless you are at work)
and you have yet checked anything or put a vac gauge on it.

i dont even have a vacuum gauge. but i will check it, just gotta get one first

Now if the hose is soft it could be sucking down and cutting off vac to the booster. Check to make sure the hose isn't collasped with the engine running

well we took all the hoses off and run new ones. but its a smaller diameter hose and its shorter than the normal. so im stuck
