Default the most asked question around...

how much hp/tq should my combo make? lol. this is my first h/c/i setup and i was just curious as to what you all thought it may make and what times it could run at the track in the 1/4.

my old setup was just a stock longblock 302, cracked torker 2 intake, edel 600 carb, unknown LT headers, 3.73's, m/t dr's, elec fan, msd ignition, upper and lower control arms, tko600,....and my best was 13.3 @ 102. i think i could have gotten closer to a 12.9 had i run one more time that night, i was finally figuring out the shift point on that setup since my tach is way off. my previous normal runs were 13.6 @ 104. most all runs have a 60ft of 2.0. the car is a 91 coupe that weighs 2900lbs with me in it. it's not stripped out or gutted in any particular special way, just no p/s, a/c, backseat, spare tire or jack, but i do normally have a bunch of tools back there lol

my new setup is going to be the same shortblock, has the stock forged pistons still, everything is the same except im adding tfs tw heads, rpm air gap intake, tfs stage 2 cam if it clears the stock pistons and my heads (heads have been milled 10 thousandths), and if the stage 2 cam doesnt fit then i'll be running a tfs stage 1 cam, harland sharpe 1.6rr's. and i'll also hopefully be getting my nitrous setup fixed. i'd like to run a 100 or 150 shot. im leaning more towards the 150 shot just because i like to risk things haha.

my goals are to be around 300+rwhp on motor, run mid to low 12's on motor and mid to low 11's on spray. if i do better then that would be awesome. so what do you all think?

thanks for any replies

If you manage to get that stage 2 cam in there you may want to consider moving up the carb size to a 650 mechanical secondary. Move the battery to the rear and get those 60' times down just a hair. Better weight transfer. Between the swap to aluminum heads and relocating the battery you get about 110 pounds off the front of the car and add about 60lbs of force to the right rear tire.
