help installing boost pressure regulator

i thought you remove the old one attach the hoses to the lines but the second picture is throwing me off. where does that go? i have a 89 5.0

Looks like an offline regulator or FMU style, which goes inline the return hose. What brand is it?

no brand it was one of those cheap fits all. whats offline regulator?

Offline as in out of the OEM location (fuel rail) and remotely placed at the firewall or fenderwell.......
