What happened to yours? Next time I buy a clutch I AM going cf though. I just had to get other things to get the car on the road.

i'm not claiming to be a clutch expert but it seems like the harder your clutch grabs the MORE stress it's going to send to your transmission. If the clutch is allowed the slip under extreme pressure it would be saving your trans from the full abuse.

I honestly didn't think stock clutches were that bad, i'd say they're plenty good to handle a bolt on car. If you want something that has stock pedal feel and can hold a little extra the Centerforce Dual Friction is probably a good bet.

i just pulled my oem clutch out at 198k and put in a new oem one. works like a charm. never had any issues with stock clutches on anything unless your talking sc/turbo.

I have a cf df. Love it and will always recommend it. And not to degrade your car by no means, but if it's just a simple bolt on 5.0l and that's how you plan on leaving it; A *Luk* clutch from napa or any parts store will work just fine for you. Might cost ya 150-175$ and you'd be all set!
