Default fuel pressure issue

ok so i installed a v1 S-trim on my 89gt...i did 30lb injectors and a fmu with a 255 in tank pump and a external..fuel pressure is pegged. on the gauge. if i try to adjust it, it dont move. i have an fmu on the car, but i belive the fmu is set up for 42lb injectors. would this cause the pressure to be pegged? the car runs richh ( shoots black smoke out when i rev it up)

How much boost?
What mass air and is it calibrated for the 30's?
What does your gauge read up to?
Why is the fmu set for 42's and you're only running 30's?
What fpr are you running?

mallory boost referenced fpr, pro-m mass air for 30's, the fmu i got was a few months old and the guy said he had it on his car with 42's so idk if its for 42's or a diffrent set of injectors. fuel gauge reads up to 60psi ( where its pegged) 12 psi of boost
