Default oil leaks. gaskets. pan removal ,etc

i'm wanting to get these leaks under control a little. leaks coming from the oil pan gasket, rear main seal, head gasket, and i saw traces of oil on the a/c pump (???). looking at the oil pan gasket and oil pan, i've been told that the engine would need to be lifted. i'm seeing that the steering gear shaft is the main part that is stopping the oil pan from sliding out. let say the steering gear shaft wasnt there,

q. would there still be a problem with taking out the oil pan? i see that as being easier for me than lifting the motor.

q. would the oil pump get in the way when the front goes towards the rear?

the trans may also need to be out. i've had that out many times all they way down the the flywheel. so if i have the trans out, i may just make a nice project out of it by going down to the rear main seal. there would be 2 gaskets. the head gasket will end up waiting for the gt40p head install for the gasket replace unless it needs to be done before the heads are ready (waiting on rr, valves, pushrods, porting, springs, cam).
any suggestions....

The honest answer that anyone would tell you is to just pull the motor. In the time it takes you to attempt to get it out just the pan, you will have the whole engine out. Which will make doing the pan and rear main very simple to do.

But that is just how I would do it.

i havent yet lifted a motor and dont have a lift to get the motor out. thats why i'm trying to find a different means. i'm not really concerned about the rear main seal. just time consuming and i've had that trans and clutch out many times so i'm comfortable with that. the engine lifting is something i'd rather see be done first before i start to try. just sounds like a lot that i havent seen done yet.

q. how far down does the oil pump and oil pump shaft sit in the pan??

If you have a rash of oil leaks. Make sure your PCV system is working properly. The crankcase should be in vacuum.

other than the pcv valve, and the vacuum line to the intake, what else is there to check for the pcv?
