Default basic H/C/I help

The thoughts been in my head for a while now that there is just no point to continue putting bolt ons onto my car. I have been looking around into the HCI kits that are offered. Im trying to keep the parts and labor at $3,000. It looks tough but my neighbor is a head mechanic at our local ford dealership and he does work on the side at his house. (His latest project was putting in a supercharged lightning motor into a ford F250, 4.56 rears the whole nine yards, he had over 30hours alone in making the custom wiring harness needed for the swap and everyhting else came out very nice so im pretty sure he is capable) Hes offered me a decent price on doing the swap if i help. Im looking at the Trickflow top end kit, theres two offered and i havent made my mind up on which one. Will all of my bolt on mods still be usable? I really dont wanna switch anything else out. I have 90,000 on the motor now is it a bad idea to do a top end and not the bottom? (i dont leak, burn, hear noises etc). Is this kit computer friendly? can i throw any codes or CEL? I get 22mpg now is it going to be a big drop with the kit? Will i have to upgrade any cooling parts? tranny parts? I still want to attain the everyday driveability of my car is this possible? Finally does anyone know where i can maybe get these parts a little bit cheaper then 2500 from summit. Price is a factor in this whole project, i dont make much money and just found out im not going back to full time now that college is out due to cutting costs. Finally with the kit, and my current bolt ons (in sig) can i expect 300rwhp? if not at least close?
I do apprciate anyone taking the time to respond, me doing this is not 100% definate, but its close, so i understand if anyone thinks responding is a waste if im not sure im gonna do it. I have the money, in fact i saved up quite alot (8k) throughout the year its just i WORKED for it, never had this much in my account, and its just kind of hard to spend that much on one thing. Thanks again guys, Jay.

he said in the range of $400-600. Alot of the shops i had contacted were in the neighborhood of $750+. The main thing is he is very meticulous (think thats spelled right) so i know it will be done right! hes one of maybe 3 i would trust working on my car. He said it could be anywhere from a day to a weekend. because he takes his time and doesnt rush through any job. I'm very faitful in this guy because i've always seen projects in his pole barn ranging from turbo-charged viper, a custom lifted airbagged truck, a 450 N/A ws6, and his new personal merc lead sled. the list could go on

for 2500.00 you could piece together a kit with most all you need but it'll require research on your part and some decisive thinking

I would think that is a decent price, it does take some time to do the work. Especially if there is one person.

The only thing you really need with that kit is some fuel. 24's would be the minimum and then a corresponding MAF, and in tank fuel pump.

Trick Flow recommends a 190lph pump, 24# injectors, 70mm throttle body, 75mm mass air meter and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. A dyno tune is not mandatory, but really should be done to get the best performance out of the combo and retain the best fuel economy and drivability. I put the Track Heat kit on my car and it's a good kit... comes with clear instructions and everything you need. (not including the parts I listed above) I highly recommend the kit and the guys at T/F are always more than willing to help you out over the phone if you have any questions when installing it.
