hey atleast their giving you suggestions unlike the guy that had my car before me looked like he just re landscaped his lawn and put a brick underneath my seat thats whats holding it up believe it or not haha but its being fixed so no worries

Well here it is....a bit worse than i thought...

Now what do I do? What's the proper way to fix?? Should I just get it welded back in and/or add a bracket?

Looks like it's already been "fixed" before.....

grind the metal on an angle and get it welded back in

grind the paint off reweld and plate another piece on top fixed

same thing happened to me, just weld it back in... just watch the carpet padding, it's kinda flammable, trust me lol

I don't have the equipment or know-how to do it myself, so I took it to a body shop for an estimate.

The guy said he may have to cut out that part of the floor and weld in a replacement from a doner car.

His reasoning was that if he just welded it back in, it could break somewhere else if the surrounding metal is "fatigued".

I want it done right.

Thoughts?

horse snot!!! I'm about to weld the same piece back into my vert and once I do I will then get a piece of metal twice as big as the broken piece , drill a hole in it for the stud then slip it over top and weld it to the floor, sounds like they wanna make some money off you,
