too much hassle for him to add a supercharger. You need more than just the s/c to bolt on and have it run right. GT-40 heads, 1 5/8 shorty headers, X-Pipe, cold air intake, and a bigger cam should get you there if not more, probably more. You can also add a 70mm TB if you want.
going to take a bit more then that. the foundation of a good n/a setup is a good set of heads. with that said, gt-40 heads are the last place i would start

You can buy a good, used SC complete from $1000-$2000. Corral.net/classifieds/poweradders carries a bunch of them. I bought my Vortech used w/3000 miles and smaller SC pulley for $1950. BTW, 94-95 kits run higher due to there exclusivty. You need a kit specifically for 86-93 Mustangs. Make sure they come with an FMU, since your car is stock. Most of the time the seller will list what is needed or what it has. You will need to buy a 255lph fuel pump($100), fuel filter($10) and new spark plugs($15) Autolite 3924 or NGK TR6 work real well. You do not need a tune. You can get one to get the most out of your combo however. Overall, an H/C/I will cost about the same or slightly more. It depends on how well a shopper you are. BTW, Vortech sells a new, self-lubricated 6psi kit for $2100. Installing a SC is simple and can be done in a day and a half if you have never done it before. If you have a desire to go turbo, luckythirteen can help you out more. Turbos will cost more $ though. Letme know if you have any more questions.

Superchargers and Turbos definately get the job done, but I'm like mjr46, I like a well thought out n/a engine. My opinion is there's a little more satisfaction in researching and selecting components that complement each other, then seeing the results at the track. I'm not saying this isn't done by folks when they install a power adder, just saying most will bolt on a power adder and go (that works too).

so if i were to get this supercharger kit and reach my goal of 300hp would there be anything in the car that i would have to replace? id want to risk breaking somthing thats not made to handle the increase in power or is te 300hp range still safe for my car being mostly stock? thanks for the info!

300hp is still safe in a stock car. And if thats all you want, and just want a weekend cruiser with a little punch that will be fine. You can always go more serious and build the block so it can handle more psi, but its def not needed for your situation.
