Default will 17x9's rub on a fox?

If I put 17x9's on my car with 275/40/17 rear and 245/45/17 front will they rub anywhere ? What if I lower the car 1.5" all the way around? Quad shocks are coming off if get new wheels and springs.

I have 93 cobra wheels on my 93GT, with 245/45/zr17 all the way around. I have 4cyl front springs and Eibach pro kit rear springs (1.25"-1.50" drop). I only get rubbing on the front if I cut the wheels all the way. Going to get some rack limiters for that. Rear has no issuesand I did remove the quad shocks when I upgraded upper/lower control arms.

These cars hardly turn sharp as it is. Run 17x8 if you can,

i run 17x9 w/ a 245 up front and have no issues really. i just pushed the inner fender well (plastic) up and put a short self tapping screw in it to hold it in place. and i have the same rim w/ a 275/40/17 out back and i still have the quad shocks and its lowered and i have aftermarket control arms. just massaged the inner fender lip. no big deal

Nacanitihs what backspace and offset are you running? Same front and rear? That is the tire combination I would like to run on some charcoal 10th anniversary cobras, So i'm very interested.

um not sure on the backspace. ill check the rims tomorrow. but ya they are all the same size. 17x9 fronts are 245/45/17 and rears are 275/40/17. both front and rear are the same diameter. i believe it is 25.9in

I run 17x9's with 245/45's up front and 275/40's out back with no issues. Removed quad shocks tho.

Edit- I also run Bbk 1.5 inch drop springs.
