5.0 stuff...
A friend of mine needs some help...
I have installed a trickflow stage 1 cam and want to know if I can tap the dowel pin in with a mallet while the cam is in the block. Or do I really have to take the cam out and install the dowel pin, that will be a bitch I prefer the former. What should I do?

yes he can put the pin in with the cam in the block but be very easy if you hit it to hard you will knock the cam plug out the back of the block then he would have to drop the trans. to put the plug back in.why did he take the dowl out?he could put a long blot in the cam to have some thing to grasp on to and have some one tap the pin in.he may not even have to tap on it mine just pushed in.he could also brake a lifter if the cam moved to far back if the lifters are still in the block so tap softly.
