Default How to change expoloer 65mm throttle body linkage to mustang

I got a 65mm exploder throttle body with the gt40 intakes. I want to change out the throttle linkage on the throttle body so it will work with my stock mustang linkage. I have read that this is possible but i wanted to find out how.
Thanks

possible yes, but will you waste more time and effort trying to get it to work, then if you just bought the right TB in the first place... also a yes

Adder still as positive as I remember. Guess you have never tried this or you wouldn't have said something so ridiculous?

I read the write up not sure why he would want both ***** on the linkage but ok. Apparently not all Explorer TB's are the same the one I am using had the oil breather tube and I had no issues with the tab for the TP sensor being too long as you can see in the following picture.

All I did was carefully grind down the edges of the post till the linkage would slide off on both TB's. I then put the Mustang linkage on the Explorer TB then with a punch and light hammer tapped the post end to fold over the linkage similar to the way it was. All this took very little time You could epoxy it I suppose or maybe drill a very small hole to run a screw into, I did neither and have never had it come apart for the year I drove the car like that before I got broadsided.

Sorry don't have any pictures of the finished TB linkage on the car but I did just take one of the old TB I put the Explorer linkage on that is still in my collection of parts. I didn't bother finishing this one up but even so it is very solid. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for the help raven_ghostwolf. I am not sure why people say this is a hard thing to do. It took less than an hour to swap linkages and install. Thanks for the two pics really helped out alot.
