turns over no start...with a twist
I found the thread on the crank no start and tried the first part. I can't figure out what happened. I took the threaded connector off at the solenoid, pulled the plug wire off the first plug and used a new sparkplug for tester, turned on ignition then jumped the terminals like in the post and it started!! turned it off reconnected everything and drove it. ran great. got home turned it off and restarted fine. did this 3 or 4 times. Last time it ran for a minute then just shut off. Tried starting it w/no luck. So i tried the above sequence and it started again. Any clues ??

turns over but will not start
it will turn over but not start. when i do the sequence that i described in the post it will start and then i can start it using the key. but at some point it will shut off and the only way i can get it to start is doing the seq. again .

from the beginning
Here is what I did...
The car would turn over but not start and run.
So I looked on here and searched for answers. Found the thread that detailed everything that could be wrong.
1st- disconnected pushon threaded connector at solenoid.
2nd- pulled spark plug wire off 1st plug
3rd- put a new spark plug in the wire.
The car would turn over but not start and run.

continued
4th- turned key to run
5th- using a screw driver jumped the terminal to the hot wire on the solenoid and the car started.
undid everything and put bcak to normal and the car would start and run until it shut off by itself and I would have to go through the whole process again.

i guess just make sure your connections are good including the ones on the battery other than that i have no idea to tell u the truth it could be something more serious or it could be something fairly simple to fix. but im having a somewhat similar problem on my 93 except im getting too much fuel i believe, and im having to unplug two injectors to start it.
