Car Jerks in 1st and 2nd
#11
It could be alot of things but I'll add this. If your car is not running right. It will force a backlash into the drivetrain.
Clutch is totally engaged, you are rolling so slow you are basically just above 1000rpm. The engine speeds up, car speeds up, engine slows down, car slows down and the cycle annoyingly repeats itself all the while your accelerator pedal was not moved.

I had some jerking issues in 1st and 2nd and still do occasionally but its from pressing on the gas pedal and the dirty throttle body. I give it a quick spraying with throttle body cleaner and wipe it out and its fine for a while.
This winter I'm gonna remove it and clean it properly.
This may not be your problem,I'm just saying.
The clanking noise could be the U-joint.

Thanks for your response I have thoroughly cleaned the TB many times it used to stick but now it doesn't.
So it could be:
1. Clutch Chatter
2. Control Arms.
3. Tranny or Engine mounts
4. Timing
So are you saying the u joint is bad or something is causing it not moving constantly.
Also someone I know said I could be missing a few teeth on my spider or ring gears in my diff.
