1988 clutch safety switch
i just recently got a 1988 5.0 its got a couple things to work on but the first to take care of is the clutch pedal that you almost put thru the floor to start it is there a adjustment for this ? i would like to keep this setup i really dont want to bypass the system thanks in advance steve

how does it engage ? it should start to engage 1 1/2" off the floor, but the switch should have nothing to do with that. bypassing is no big deal really... i've never done it but thought about remote starter b4

the switch on the pedal should be adjustable. you'll find a plunger style switch, where the plunger is pushed in from pushing the pedal down. the plunger on the switch is adjustable, just pull it out a bit and you should be good to go.
