get you some lock lube, can't remember where to buy it at the moment but its made of liquid graphite and some light oils that'll keep it from freezing up when it freezes

its the same stuff as graphite lube for bike chains / throttle cables, good stuff all around

the reason I recommended WD40 is that its a water dispersant... Thats what it was actually formulated to do. Once you get the lock nice and warm, or can get some compressed air in there. give it a good spray or two again, perhaps even open up the interior door panel and remove the lock all together and get some light oil into it.

Hey Guys i just signed up-glad to be here. I have 91 LX 5.0 Hatch deep jewel green. Of course i have the same problem w/ the doors/locks/handles freezing-i know how to unfreeze them but my problem is that the rod in the handle keeps popping out (i have metal replacement handles)-Its just a pain to remove the door panel everytime. Has anyone found a solution to keep the rods from popping out-it's so hard to get both hands in there though-im tired of goin through the passenger door-lol ??? Thanks in advance for the help guys.
