Default Bump steer

I purchased 97 spindles, rotors, ect for the five lug swap on my 86. I plan to run s197 wheels. The rear is on and spaced very nicely. My two problems are 1. The center cap will not clear the dust cap. 2. I was told the 97 spindles would cause bump steer issues?I guess I will have to run a wheel spacer even though I do not want to. But does anyone know about the bump steer?

S197 wheels can be used but alot of people don't on a fox. IMO they just don't look right because of their specs. The 96-04 spindles will cause bump steer. You might not notice it at first but it does. When I first converted mine I didn't notice it but after driving it for awhile I can tell its there. The skinnier the tire you run the more you will notice it. I have 275's up front so it took a little time to realize I was having bump steer

The mm site is a huge help. I wonder if anyone has tried the s197 wheels with the ranger or lincoln rotor swap? That would by far be the faster way.

If it doesn't work with the SN stuff they DEF WON'T with the ranger/lincoln rotors. The dust cap is alot bigger than the SN. Looks like you will have to use wheel spacers or use different wheels. What wheels are you wanting exactly?

I am using 05 wheels that are the split five star style. I am not sure of their actual name. I installed a 98 rear end and the wheels fit great in the rear. I purchased 95 spindles and rotors so i hope it will all work. I talked with a guy who used the same wheels with 95 v6 rotors and spindles and he doesnt even run a spacer.
