Hey guys, im really tired of my gauges jumping and my lights dimming whenever i have my system turned up, i have a 90 5.0 lx, ive read about the 1g alternator upgrades or whatever if its 2g or 3g not sure, I just wanna upgrae to something with more amps, Does anyone know what year alt will fit and what upgrades i have to do to the wiring? pls let me know

just get the 75 amp one from an auto store i.e. pep boys, advanced and it comes with a lifetime warranty thats what i did and it works great even with my full audio system

yeah but i gotta new alt ont here already, it should be 75 amp i work at a parts store and all i can order is a 75 amp so im pretty sure that the stock amperage, plus i changed this alternator once cause i had the same thing i had the problem stop after i changed the alternator than after a couple of months it came back lights dimming and what not defected the alternator got a new one now this ones doing the same thing, i just hate watching gauges jump and lights dim while im bumpin hahaha

3g or a one wire. u can goggle how to wire 3g.

I just run a 95 mustang alt. 130 amps had to grind the alt. bracket a bit and if I remember right the wiring change was very simple.
