pk NO that is the ACTUAL weight of the cars ... I have check a number of times. the years 87 and up YES THEY WEIGH THAT MUCH. BUT the years before that were light as hell you are completely wrong and have you head up your **** to think that the book STRAIT FROM FORD *shakes head* is wrong and YOU are right.... Lastly i have a lot of friends that i don't see anymore that had 2000 pound 200 pounds more or less mustangs a few years back that would track them all the time TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS THE OLD STANGS OF 79-86 GOT NO MORE THAN 2800 POUNDS UNLESS IT WAS A CONVERTABLE! THEN you are talking about 3200 plus pounds....UUURRGGG!....

Now to go back to what is going on here. as of now what do you think of those for mods on the engine? and whcihc of the bodix heads should i go with in your opinion? if i can i don't want to have to use more than 91 octane fuel if i can help it yet i am still looking for 330 to 340bhp. www.brodix.com Also i don't know what pistons to go with as for company wise. Remember i am not looking for cheap i am looking best bang for the buck here.

as for the suspension i think i am going to have to find out at the track these things are front heavy and i am not quite sure what kind of spring rate i am going to have to have on the rear springs so it bounces just right to get that tracktion same as for the autocross racing. i am just not sure what company i should go with. but as for stiffining it up i plan on using a 6 point cage so do any of you know if there is a kit for a 6 point for a stang of this year range and who makes it?

See this guy's setup and his weight. No way you weight this low. Check your stuff correctly, the LX is the lightest 5.0 from 87-93 and it weights 3000 lbs and there isn't such a big difference between your car and an LX from the newer gen. Sorry man but it's simply impossible As far as your engine setup is concerned, if you're looking for a cheap project car you might wanna go through the junkyard route. Good luck with the project
