Default Vac reading after tfs heads swap

Hey everyone. I have an 88gt most of my mods can be seen in my sig but I recently threw on some trickflow170cc heads 2.02/1.60 that im using with an e303 cam, weiand stealth intake and 670 carb. This combo is on a new engine with otherwise stock components with a main girdle. I am only producing 9in of vacuum after tuning the carb with all other vac ports plugged. This reading seems low to me. What are you other carb or efi guys making at idle? Idle @750rpm 16* advanced timing set w/ vac advance off. Thanks in advance!

Way too low. Typical vacuum @idle with that setup should be around 12" Hg....... you may want to revisit lifters preload and valve train geometry.

Well after mine having 2" idle for a while the 9" I have now is a blessing LOL. I have a rocker or 2 out of adjustment so I prolly have 1-2" left to gain at idle.

I think I may still have 1 or 2 rockers a tad loose myself or maybe my engine wants more timing but I figured 16* initial would be plenty. I make 5" at 4*, found that out by accident. Yeh with my old engine setup I made like 11" of vac @ 750rpm @ 14* with the e cam and gt-40 irons...maybe cuz of the bigger valves??
