Default 94/97 Shell Swap

Hey guys...my 94 is having motor work done, but before the motor can be dropped back in, I have various really bad rust areas surrounding the motor mounts... unrelated to the motor, the rear fender above the tire is showing rust as well. The guy doing the body work as found a 97 Mustang in a junk yard and the shell appears to be in much better condition. Do you guys know of any hassles we would run into switching everything on my 94 over to the 97's shell? The other option is cutting and soldering the parts needed...but it appears the switchover is more cost-effective.

Thanks in advance for your help

If you are swapping everything then yes the bodies are the same. If you are just wanting to put your drive train in it then there are some wiring differences. If the newer shell is a v6 then you should be able to use the K member from it.

Sorry forgot to mention the 97 is a GT, so I assume it had the 4.6 in it

Then strip all the wiring and electronics out of it and swap yours in along with the K member.
