Default Cam timing???

Just wondering what would be better on a daily driven 5.0,to retard the cam timing or to just install it straight up since i really don't want to advance it since i don't want my power band real high and i really don't plan to turn the car over 5500 anyways, just curios on what your guy's opinions would be.

I know that but i was wondering if i would benifit from installing the cam 4 degrees retarted,or just installing it straight up,and this is just your off the shelf alphabetical cam "b cam" and the car is a everyday driver and bottem end would probaly be a bit better than a high powerband.

if you advance the cam it's better in the low end...to much and you'll see a valve smacking a piston..first you need to find out if there is any advance in the cam...you'll have to degree it

advancing a cam give bottom end, and retarding gives you top end, so in my opinion MOST DDs should run straight up.
