94 GT won't turn over
I have a 94 GT and it was sitting for about a month, went to start it up, won't turn over and couldn't jump it. Get new battery (actually two) and put it right in and won't turn over. Lights interior and exterior would come on but as soon as i press the brake or try to crank it all the power goes off and something clicks under the hood. I was thinking alternator but it still should crank especially right after dropping a new battery in so it doesn't feel like a charging issue. I'm stumped on this one, so i would appreciate any tips or ideas.
Thx

Here's a novel idea...
Take the starter out and have it bench tested at one of your local parts stores.
Upon further consideration of your issue, You might want to check the cable that runs from the battery to the power distribution block, then also the cable that runs over to the starter. If these are good, you might want to check your block grounds.
The fact that your power cuts out when you try to start the car, or step on the brakes is a pretty good sign that you have a poor connection somewhere in the power system.
