Default clutch cable

Hey guys well yesterday my clutch cable ripped in traffic. I had just replaced it about 4-5 months ago with a cheapy from autozone. It was the non adjustable cable with an adjuster at the firewall. Fixed it right away with another cheapy after i got it towed ( thanks to progressive road side) home. My question is if it ripped at the firewall, what would cause this.. Bad cable, cheap?

Yep. You can get a Ford cable from MM also. You should still be able to get a 04 cable from Ford. It will wok you just have to modify where it goes into the firewall adjuster and the bracket at the frame doesnt work.

Get a Ford cable. You'll just keep going through the cheap ones and even the heavy duty option at the zone.

Default best cable/quadrant

to the o.p., i just went threw that same az pos cable. i did my research and maximum motorsports cable is the best you can get, also pair that with there quadrant[it's wayyyy better than all the rest belive me]. my cable from steeda[also got there quad and adjuster] snapped at the quad because there quad sucks, its angle is all wrong. i wish i had gone with MM from the start, good luck to you and that fine fox of yours..
