94 cobra question

94 cobra question
So i get this beep sound coming from the back of the stereo from time to time. It will start when i give the car a few revs just after turning her on.., beeps a few times then goes away..? I have a working c/i light thats never on only before i start car. ABS light works also. What can this be?

Something in the airbag system is pissed.
Mine did that after I swapped for a tilt wheel.
(Go figure!)
I'm not sure what the total ramifications of this are (and I didn't care, since my air bag is sitting in the rafters of my garage) put simply unplugging the computer that is back there beeping at you will shut it up. I'm going to assume it will also cause your airbag to be defeated... However, having an empty connector rattling around inside your dash that's wired to a pipe bomb may not be a great plan.

Won't pass inspection on a 94 if the airbag isn't functioning, when you start the car the airbag ligh is supposed to come on then cut off.
If you pull all the airbag stuff out the light stays on constant.
If you pull the bulb then it won't ever flash, if your inspector is looking for it (like he's supposed to) you will fail.
If your feeling creative I have seen people do airbag deletes with the false airbag panels and wire relays and timers to the airbag light so it wil come on then cut off like it should if its all working and no one will be the wiser.
