I've got a 95 gt.. When I launch it from a dead stop it seems like its in at least 2cd gear... But I count the shifts and it seems to start from 1st then shifts to 2cd then drive.. Is it because I have really high gears? It won't even leave rubber unless I got the wheel turned drastically to the side. Sound good and doesn't studded so I'm stumped.

Stock sn95=go slow mobile.

You've got to put some work and money into it if you want to put some power down.

Well I was kinda hoping that was the case and it wasent that my car had issues.. My last 94 gt 5speedwent waaaay better

Definatly the 5 speed trans is much better in these cars than that aode. That auto trans is a slush box. A good set of rear gears like 4.10 on an auto can drastically improve performance of these cars.

I got my 94 with out an engine, found an 89 block , and before I had it ready to be dropped in I installed 3.73 gears in mine. Even the 5 speed benefits greatly from steeper gears.

Even then after the engine was in and running I didn't pick up and real power until the long tubes , o/r H , flowmasters , and gt40 intake was installed. That made a whole different beast out of it.
