New owner and question list!
Hey all, I just picked up a 1995 GT/manual recently. It has the following modifications according to the previous owner-
70 mm TB
3.73 gears
HD clutch
It has headers and a catted h pipe, but no mufflers.. car is borderline too loud for every day use, so the included Dynomax mufflers that were cut off may go back on.
So far, I have had to fix the odometer gears, and I still have to check the gear on the VSS to see if it was changed for the rear..I don't think it was though as the speedo reads about 3-4 mph too high at 65. It definitely has gears though because rpms are pretty high at cruising speeds.
Mechanically, it only has one issue of concern- the clutch tends to get "stiff" as it heats up.. it will still engage and disengage, but the stiffer it gets the less it feels like it releases. The other night during stop and go it almost got impossible to engage 1st gear without a good shove. Engagement has always been slightly choppy during very light throttle starts. Or does the cable need to be adjusted? It almost feels like the pressure plate hangs up during release so you can feel those tabs flexing a bit under the force of the throw-out bearing. Again, this only happens after driving it a while.. it is always smooth when cold (first drive).
Any input is appreciated! Thanks.

Yeah check your clutch cable for proper adjustment first but they do stretch over time so it could need a new cable. A good write up here: http://www.mustangevolution.com/must...-clutch-cable/.
Also 3 or 4 over at 65 isn't too bad but before pulling the vss check your tire size to make sure its correct. You can change the speedo gear to match tire size and gear ratio but its much easier to have the right diameter tire. For example a lot of fox guys put 225/50 16 for the lower profile when it came with 225/55 16. The 50 is a smaller tire so will have more revs per mile which will cause the speedo to read a little fast.

Sorry I didn't include this:
Currently it has 245-45-17 tires on Cobra-style wheels.
I did a calculator online and it should have 3.73 gears.. but the speedo should be further off in that case, right? I did tire size, 60 mph (which would indicate 62 on my dash) and it worked out to the right RPM with a 3.73 rear (calculator showed 1990 and I read 2000)

Put the rear tires up in the air using a jack and stands, mark the tire in one spot , and mark drive shaft , then rotate tire slowly while counting how many times the drive shaft completes a rotation.
3.73 gears will spin the drive shaft almost 3 3/4 times per 1 revolution of the tire.

Another question: though I know the gauge is seldom accurate, the oil pressure seems to always hover between the O and R of "normal" on the gauge..is this ok? I see no ill effects but have seen videos of running cars where the needle sits higher..
