Default Car Won't Stay Running

Hi.

Went to take the 92 GT out for a spin last weekend and I couldn't get it to stay running.

When I turn the key on, you can hear what sounds like a sucking or blowing noise coming from around or behind the throttle body area. We spent 20+ minutes trying to pinpoint where it was coming from but couldn't find it. It makes that noise nonstop until you turn the key back off. When I actually tried starting the car, it would just crank and crank. I eventually got it to start a couple of times after giving it a bunch of gas, however it would not stay running at all unless I continued to give it continual gas. Even when I gave it gas to keep it running it was very rough and choppy and then the second I would let off the gas it would die again. Any ideas?

Here are a couple of mods around the area the blowing noise is coming from:

-BBK fuel rails and regulator
-39lb ford racing injectors with EV6 adapters
-GT40 tubular intake 1 inch spacer
-Accufab 70mm throttle body

Also, I don't really hear the fuel pump turn on when I turn the key. It's a Walbro 255 high pressure high volume fuel pump.

Thanks

My first thought is to check your fuel pressure. But you could have a stuck injector.

Is your blower motor on? If so, turn it off, and check your fuel pump again, it should prime the system when you first turn the key, And as Dawson said, verify pressure if pump is working.

We looked at it today and it appears to be coming from the fuel rail or regulator. I'm going to start doing some research but any ideas you all have now that I think we have it narrowed down would be appreciated.

Thats a big fuel pump.

Stock relay and wires can easily become overheated and open up = stall.

Check your fuel pressure, pull the line off the regulator if it has one,and look for leaking fuel.
