Default 2G alternator wiring from scratch

so i took out all of my wiring in my 91 GT and rewired the entire car myself. i think that the alternator was the most problematic for me. but here is how i wired the 2G alternator and it has proven to be very awesome without swapping for the 3G.

1.) FROM MY WIRING SPECS...WIRE BOTH LARGE BLACK AND ORANGE WIRES TOGETHER WITH THE YELLOW WIRE..(NO FUSE STRAIGHT TO THE BATTERY)

2.) LEAVE THE STATOR WIRE AND RUN THE GREEN WIRE TO THE POSITIVE ON THE VOLTAGE GAUGE.

THIS IS THE PART I GOT HUNG UP ON SO BE CAREFUL

3.) THEN RUN THE NEGATIVE ON THE VOLTAGE GAUGE TO A POSITIVE WIRE.

THE WIRING WILL CHARGE THE BATTERY!!

and there you have it..if still confused, just post a comment and ill help you.

hope this helps alot of people

nice glad it works for you....however most convert to 3g for more amperage output....your 2g won't match the output of a 3g when and if required. In my case, a 2g no matter which way you wire it won't suffice as I have everything elec...water pump, bottle heater, elec fan, big stereo....and ton of other things as well that I could go on about.
