Default NSS bypass problem

I have a 1988 t5 on my 88 mustang. I just put a rebuilt tranny in today and I had to bypass the NSS so I cut the two wires and pigtailed them together but my car still won't start?? Idk what to do, should I bridge the wires instead with a jumper wire?

Its been awhile but I think the last time I put a newer t5 in that didn't have the NSS I just left it unplugged. I think that circuit needs to be open.

I may be wrong Id have to get under my car and see what I did but its cold and dark out right now lol.

you should wire the nss back the way the factory put it, dare I explain why and it's purpose and how it factors into idle issues that may arise
