Default Is the strut tower brace necessary?

Basically the title says it all. I am hopefully picking up a gt40p heads and intake package from a friend of mine and to try and keep the price lower I would rather not replace the strut tower brace at this moment. I will eventually as money comes up but is it ok to do daily driving with no hard cornering in a 94 gt vert? It will only be for a few months maximum

Most mustangs come from the factory without a strut tower brack. You'll be fine. Keep slamming it in the corner that brace does next to nothing.

Ok awesome thanks. So I know this varies greatly but what would be the approximate cost of installing both heads and intake? I know I'll also need to grab gaskets and bolts but whats an estimate on labor? Unfortunately this is also a daily driver so I can't attempt it myself if it ends up taking longer then expected.

That's going to vary on location and shop rate. You can just call a couple local shops and they'll give you a rough estimate.

If you do go this route, use a shop that has a good reputation, and preferably known for Mustang/Ford motors. I'd pay a little extra for that piece of mind.

Nothing wrong with paying someone to do the work. Just make sure you find a good shop to get it done. There is a lot of hacks out there masquerading as mechanics. No offense to actual good mechanics. I know you guys are out there also! Labor is usally in the 75 to 120 dollar an hour range. Figure on most places charging 10-16 hours.

Make sure you try to find a guy who knows these cars too. It's not rocket science, but there are a few things to know to help the job go smoother and prevent headaches down the line. I just learned the process myself, and I can tell you that just the knowledge of what parts, gaskets, and techniques will play a huge role on how smoothly the operation goes.

Also, the strut tower braces are certainly awesome to have, but not necessary. You will notice more slop in your steering and more flex in your chassis, but you're not going to break the car or anything like that.
