no need for an aftermarket ecu, stock ecu works well and for those who like to tune themselves there are some plug n plays such as moates quarterhorse

Welcome to the forum Jedi ,

What problems are you having, or are you looking at modding and a way to tune yourself ?

Stock ECU is very powerful from what ive heard. Got one running a turbo on my brothers car.

With that being said I'm running a Holley Dominator EFI on mine. Had a FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 on it and I couldnt get it self tune because the motor is too radical. Very happy with the Holley though. Learning a lot about tuning thats for sure.

I haven't used one, and I also don't know if you need an aftermarket ECU, but the Megasquirt PNP appeals to me for the price. Last I researched them they allowed all sorts of boost/nitrous control, traction control, and rev limiters. ~$850 which would be fine with me if those features worked.

I have heard that the learning curve on them is a bit steep.

Yeah, that would be a steep learning curve on getting the traction control to work. (sarcastic smile).

But, for all I know, maybe the new stuff that IS possible. I'm still stuck in the 80's lol.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the rev limit/timing retard traction control is supposed to work, but I know it "can". It's not like a 1100hp Koenigsegg is only pulsing its ABS to control traction.

Besides... You're screwing up my Guinea pigging.

The Holley dominator will do it also but I didnt bother wire that crap up. Thing will also control a gm 4L80E transmission. Crazy what these aftermarket ECUs will do these days that wasnt available a few years ago.
