Default 1994 Mustang ECT Sensor Help

Hey guys, long story short I did a V6 to V8 swap on my 94 and she is up and running but I am just trying to clean up some codes. I had a 118 code for the ECT because it wasnt connected so I went and got the sensor however I have the Explorer upper and lower intake as well as the metal coolant lines that run along the lower intake from the explorer. Unfortunately where the ECT plugs in is turned in right where the distributor is. Has anyone ever been able to get these metal lines to work or do I need to swap them for some other lines? Thanks guys

I have never done this swap, so I'm probably not going to help much, but is there a reason Foxbody/SN heater tubes won't work ? I don't know what the Explorer lines look like so I'm just guessing here.

Also, this Explorer stuff has been done so many times here, have you tried searching here for an older thread with info on this. I'm sure it's been covered before. Good luck

I know they would work but I have the explorer lines on the car already and I don't want to have to pull the upper intake and fuel rail to change the coolant hoses if I don't have to. And I already did a search didn't find what I was looking for hence the post.
