valve train noisy on passenger side
have an 88 lx 5.0, have put explorer upper and lower intake , a comp cam , gt40 three bar heads with new valve job and home porting before , using new ford hydraulic lifters with all stock parts , pushrods , rockers and such ...I believe I got the 20 flbs of torque at a quarter turn preload...the passenger side exaust temp is running hotter and valve train is much louder, the car has been converted to mass air...any ideas what I may have done wrong would really like to get the car going this year , but stumped on the valve train ...thanks for any info

I had the heads totally freshened up by a reputable engine shop here in town the cam is fairly mild don't remember the exact numbers but good from like 3000 to 6000 rpm mild lope ...I did check the torque on the rockers and wrench snapped at 20flbs...sorry not an explorer cam , just explorer upper and lower intake it is a mild "comp cam "...do I really have to go with an adjustable pushrod for this?...tried keeping it as simple as possible , figuring all said and done it would be really close to stock clearances ....very frusterated....thanks for any help
