Default Transmission Cooler?

I have the 91 gt aod and im getting a 2500 stall like i have said on here before. You guys mentioned getting a transmission cooler? I have no idea where to find one or what kind to get or how much they cost. So info on that would be pretty nice if u guys could give me some. Thanks

Just about anywhere.Autozone,advanced auto,napa,pep boys any local parts store or speed shop will have one.Theyre about 40 bucks and very simple to install.

get the largest your possible can. mine is 24gvw. they sell a larger 28gvw now. and you just remove the factory lines from the heat exhanger and hook them up to the new cooler. make sure you install it where it will get the most air possilbe to cool it.

It's most like alot cheaper if you goto a more popular chain store. A little speed shop, might be a couple more dollars for the same thing.

i just got a perma cool 24-28gvw that comes with all the fittings but not enough hosing.It cost 50 at a place called national performance. I also got a trans temp guage just incase it heats up to let me know.<edited><editID>dohc_cobra</editID><editDate>37991.1699768519</editDate></edited>

you can go to the junk yard and get a a/c cooler for like 5.00 holds about an extra .5 quart of trans fluid

I need one also.... My tranny is ok in winter but summer that bad boy heats up like a ****..... I have one picked out already....</P>

using redline water wetter will also help as will a lil cooler 'stat
