I know mine is slow... but I get 24mpg highway so I cant complain...
and I am not touching the motor as is... if I ever dig into it, it will be a full performance rebuild, or a stroker motor going in

mjr said he doesn't care about number's but ET's. I agree. Stock I ran a 10.3@67(1/8th). After adding exhaust, CAI, TB, MAF, shift kit, and underdrive pulleys I ran a 10.1@71(1/8th). Then I added my GT-40 Intake and 4:10's and ran a 9.39@78(1/8th). After adding the heads, cam, stall converter, and getting it tuned I ran a 13.1@105(1/4) and a best 8.42@84(1/8th). This will give you an idea of what the best mods to add are. Gears should be #1 on the list, IMO.

I don't know what ever it takes to push our 3200# street car to 10.76 but 135 MPH is the catch. on ET streets and on a small spike of race gas (still tuning) with 3.31 rear gears. that's with the old cam the new one sure feels much better I just made 5psi of boost on the foot brake I could never do that before so I am looking forward to running it again. when it is all said in done I am hoping for 600++ with a 306 and a real mild cam. got to love boost and drive it anywhere.
