i am looking at an 89 5.0 lx convertible. it has 67,000 miles with a 5 speed and all the power options. it is white with a tan top and tan interior. the top needs replacing and some TLC on the interior but nothing ripped or torn.

what would be a fair price for this car.

make sure its not really 167,000 miles. check the title, carfax etc.

Id say around 2-3 grand would be a decent price... make sure it doesnt smoke, leak anything or have rot like tony mentioned

registration shows 62 or 63k when last registered. the paint is relatively fresh and no signs of heavy body filler. sounds like solid metal. the car was under a cover and has been for several months.... i drive by it everday to and from work. i went and knocked on the door today just to see if it was for sale and was told they were about to advertise it. the owner started it while i stood at the back, i did not see any smoke, even when he revved it up. no knocks, ticks or rattles either.
