Default problem solved

well if anyone remembers, i had just dropped 3k on a rebuild of my 347. i got it back in the car and BLAM! no oil pressure.

so the car has been in the shop for about 2 weeks with them fiddling with ****, and i just got a call from my mechanic, says they found the problem. apparently their is a hairline crack in my oil pickup, so they are in the process of replacing it and i should have it back by the end of the week.

my question is, how the hell does a oil pickup develop a crack?!?!

on a side note... didnt we tell you to check all that real good for leaks???

haha yeah. the guy who is working on it really knows mustangs, next time im at his shop ill snap a few pics. he owns the first all motor 2010 mustang in the 11's. also has a 800hp dark blocked sn95. his shop and around it is literally like 20 mustangs, from just carcass's of cars to full blown race cars. its a real neat shop.

maybe it got dropped at one point or there was a casting flaw in the metal or when the pickup tube was bent at the factory a flaw in the metal caused the crack...

your guess is as good as mine, but at least its getting repaired and no major damage occurred

Guess the problem being resolved just cracks you up. Man made is subject to fault as is machine made. Shipping -drop bend twist kick .
