new 347 build specs?
i built a 347 with various 302 parts such as an E cam, fairly small heads, 650 carb ect. (exact parts can be posted via request). i dynoed the stang a few weeks ago and made 362rwhp. if my math is correct that is around 410-420hp on the motor. originally that is what i was aiming for, but now i am rebuilding the motor and aiming at 500hp. so far i am looking at a .542 lift, 286 duration cam and a 750 carb along with other MSD components such as distributor and ignition, shorty headers (because long tubes wont fit past my bellhousing), a better radiator, electric fans and elec water pump. anyone have any suggestions within reasonable price to make 500hp? reasonabl being less than $2000 on top of my original build lol. a little basic math and good guessing made a respectable number on the dyno so now im hopeful that a little good advice can do better thanks.

used s/c or turbo or nitrous otherwise you wont get there N/a with those parts. you'd have to start all over with nicer parts to do it n/a
and you deff wont do it n/a with shorties.

looking into a 150-200shot. i have forged internals so it should hold up. what kind of numbers do u expect me to hit?

[QUOTE=hypertruejedi;7218694]lol forged internals, hopefully it's not in a stock roller block, cause to hit 500 rwhp you'll need some better heads, solid roller cam, and a single plane intake, and in the end you'll need to turn some rpm to hit the goal, and most likely cap walk will set in and longevity won't be your friend, best off starting with a good foundation, the block will let go before the forged internals if it's a stock block

good to see your a supporter... note that i don't HAVE 500hp so if that was the assumption learn to read the post was asking for what it takes to make 500hp (im asking the ones who either A: have done it, or B: are at least willing to give false hope) not really looking to talk to people who bash my ideas and plans. thx
