Well I finally had a chance to get the car up to my buddies shop before the snow hit I dropped it off and I day later he had the whole engine tore down to the block and getting it prepped for the new parts ! One of the things I wanted to know if it was the original engine or not ? because when I bought the car the owner said it was replaced with a new Jaspar engine that it only had 44k on it? Well It couldn't be proven until today .We had our doubts but when he got down to the pistons he noticed some number that seemed different and turns out that this is not the original engine just like the lady said turns out to be a 308 bored 40 over ! So i'm a happy camper Here's some pics of what we got done so far....
more pics to come....

Ok Today we are going to clean up the firewalls/strut towers with some por15 and spray them up with a little red paint to clean up some surface rust that hasn't been touched in 20 years ..I'm getting ready to send out my 19lb injectors that were on the car to get cleaned and serviced also decided to get a smaller crank pulley for the car to add some extra horse power and decided to remove the air silencer/smog pump and going to advance the timing ...... We'll see what kind of horse power this engine brings!
Here's mod list.........
Gt 40 heads (F3ZE) rebuilt
original 93 cobra intakes-powder coated
1.7 crane rockers new

Great Job on taking your time and getting everything clean and fresh! It's better to have everything looking like you want it to instead of having regrets of not doing something while you were there.
It's cool to know the previous owners didn't bull crap you about what all the done to the car! Seems like you have a solid budget build on your hands, and hitting your goal of 250whp should be an issue at all. If you haven't done so already about the only thing I'd recommend is maybe an electric fan since you already upgraded the alternator, and maybe an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a fuel gauge as well. that way with the added power and the timing bump your gonna do you have less of a chance to get any detonation under hard acceleration.

I was up at Lou's shop yesterday for a couple of hours here's how far we got it's starting to look like an engine again waiting and the injectors at this point... I realized after we started putting it back together that it's going to be alot of work now keeping it clean ! Here's some pics....
GT 40 Heads and 1.7 rockers in place .
Lou went step by step to show me how to install and adjust these rockers with shims and set up the valve train..
Pic of the cobra valve covers and BBK ceramic coated headers and the Polished Grade 8 Stainless Steel ARP bolts
Here's a pic of Todd's powder coat work on there parts lower cobra intake installed also got the smaller crank pulley in .
Here's a pic of how far we got today shows the new radiator in had to make some light adjustments to get this thick radiator in also put stainless steel brackets in to hold in place. Painted along the shock towers and firewall alittle to stop the surface rust from getting any worse. There's still alot to do but it's slowly coming together ! More pics to come...
