Default 2013 GT Shifting Problems 2-3 Need Advice

This is a 2013 GT 6 Sp Man. Brand new. I am having problems with the 2-3 shift at above 5,000 RPM. I want to be able to shift and feel confident that I will not miss a shift. When this happens it feels like I hit a wall. Car will never see a track. I do not want to impact the warranty this quickly. I have searched the forum and it looks like people have had some luck with-

1. Changing transmission fluid.

2.Installing a Shifter Stabilizer Bushing.

The dealer is NOT high performance oriented.

What has been your experience with a dealer on this issue? Will they or can they fix the issue?

Do you think either or both of the above would give me confidence that my shifts will work?

Any good input would be helpful.

I had the same problem and ending going with the MGW shifter and I love it. The problem is the bushings are very soft to cut down on vibration and sound transfer. The bushing on the shift box and the main bushing on the back of the box. I did see where someone found better bushing and changed them out, you may want to search for that post, it was not too long ago and ask him.

Stock shifter, although kind of nice ( I did say "kind of" ) leaves A LOT to be desired. Next up for my mods is a different shifter and shock tower brace.

How many miles do have on the car? When I had just purchased mine I had the same issues. Once I broke the 1000 mile mark it virtually went away. Maybe things just wearing in. I may have jumped the gun but I purchased a MGW Shifter as a remidy, I have yet to install it due to the issue disappearing. Something to consider.

This....you can be rough with it once it gets broke in, until then just relax. I notice most people who have a problem shifting into third hard generally let off the clutch also before the shifter is all the way in gear.

I had the dealer put in a different fluid, it helped the 1-2 shift but after a few thousand miles the 2-3 does get better. Although it still could be better, and I agree, it's only a problem around 6-7K RPM if shifting very fast.

I am not a big fan of the shifts in my 2013 GT when compared to my GTO (sold) or even my 4th gen Firehawk. While I thought the manual transmissions in my GM cars were notchy, Ford brings this to a new level. Gears are sometimes downright hard to get into! Other times, it is easy.
