There is no question that in my '10, with the Nav unit, there is not as much sound pressure from the sub woofers in the doors. The low frequency is indeed there, but it definately not as loud.

Also of interest, it simply says "Shaker" - not "Shaker 500"

I love the NAV unit so much I have resigned my self to less punch - but if indeed the extra amp is not hooked and could be - that would make my day.

Please keep us posted.
I agree the stock nav looks good in there and I not changing out the stock unit like I did with my 07 installing a kenwood nav (man did that sound great) and alpine trunk sub.

And the reason I was checking out the amps and location was possiblity adding a amp and trunk sub in this one to give it extra thump.
So after connecting the amps up ( that ford forgot to do)I still need that extra bass.

Here I go tearing things apart is search of better sound ! (ordered my Qlogic box already)

I added an Audio Control speaker level-line level converter and stuck my old hi-power amp in with my Polk 6x8s and a 10" sub I had for the trunk. This makes the unit sound pretty good
