It's not all that tough to pull the driver's side wheel. Its pretty tough to get them both up. It doesn't make sense, but power and 60fts and etc...... don't directly influence if or how high you pull the wheel(s).

I cut a 1.43 60ft and barely (maybe just a tad of daylight) pulled both tires. I made a TON of 1.5's and alot of those weren't pulling either wheel. It was just straight hooking and going, which is really what you want.

My buddy with a Procharged Trans Am pulls low 1.5 60fts and he jerks both wheels up HIGH! Like 2ft in a couple instances. My car launches harder and goes side by side with him down the track and run 7.0's. But mine left smooth and his popped up. I guess it's all in your setup.

350 to 400 lbft available at the crank, in 1st with 4.10s, well-connected to the pavement would do it handily.

Keep in mind that at the moment of launch available torque includes not only what the engine is producing, but also the release of the kinetic energy stored in the engine's rotating mass and the flywheel as those assemblies are rapidly decelerated.

for good times and et's you really dont want the wheels up. when i was younger and built my first race car the coolest thing was to stand it on the bumper. till the day tim lynch ragged the hell out of me for it and explained why it was bad. now depending on the track and how i set up the suspension on average i pull up both about a half inch with 1200hp twin turbo fox(1.2 1.3 60ft). but if ya really want to do it 4.10 gear 50/50 drag shocks in the back and slicks on a stock car and you got the tires up

This was with stock bullits on the front and a 235 60 15 dr on the back. Haven't beeb witg the draglites, 275 50 15s rear and 15x3.5s on the front, should be a little higher

Lotta suspension work tho
Do you still have a picture or two of those launches?

+1 to everything. Lifting the wheels is wasted energy.
