Default 4:10 gears

Hey all, I have 2000 Mustang gt 4.6L. I am considering getting 4:10 gears and I was wondeing if anyone had any recommendations for me? Also I would really like to know how the top end is affected by putting in the shorter gears? Does it bring the top end down a lot or just a little bit? any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Darren

Just about everyone here has 4.10's and going to say that they love them. I've got 3.73's and they are good for what I do.

i have 4.10 gears in my car and i love them. my friend rode in my car and his dad has a 2006 mustang gt. he said it seemed like my car pulled alot harder than his dads because of the gears. they are the best mod you can do for the money.

^^^ i agree

best mod i have done so far, but plan on gettin sum sticky tires to hook with the new gears

as for top end loss.....it is honestly not noticable under 90% of driving conditions, and the benifit

WAAAAY outdoes the cost

Got mine in around Thanksgiving. The best mod I've done besides lowering it. If your a Non-PI owner like us it makes you feel a lot better and you may think your car grew some *****, lol. But then you think about the 04 w/ 4:10's and some bolt ons that ripped you a new one the other week [:@] lol, JP

Go 4:10's you'll love them, end of story...

Top end is not affected with 4.10's on modular motors. You actually gain more mph up top, because the 3.27 is so tall it does not enable the car to make the most of it's power. The 4.10 will allow the car to make better use of the available power & intern give more top speed.
